# TelegramRadar

> TelegramRadar is a multilingual directory of public Telegram channels, groups and bots: 22,820 approved channels and groups and 2,668 approved bots across 14 categories, with an interface in 6 languages. Available at https://www.telegramradar.com

TelegramRadar is an independent catalogue of *public* Telegram resources. It is not affiliated with Telegram, and it does not host, mirror or moderate the content published inside the resources it lists. What it adds on top of Telegram's native search:

1. A browsable, filterable catalogue with one stable page per channel, group and bot.
2. Category and language facets that Telegram itself does not expose.
3. Rankings ordered by page views on telegramradar.com.
4. A localised interface in 6 languages over content published in many more.

## Entity definitions

- Channel: a one-way Telegram broadcast — an owner posts, subscribers read. URL pattern /{locale}/explore/{slug}.
- Group: a Telegram chat where members post to each other. Groups live in the same directory as channels, carry a group badge, and use the same URL pattern.
- Bot: a Telegram account driven by software that a user starts and interacts with through commands. URL pattern /{locale}/bots/{slug}.

## How listings enter the directory

1. Automated import from public Telegram sources. The bulk of the catalogue was collected from publicly available Telegram listings and from each resource's own public t.me preview page — title, description, avatar and member count are read from that public page. No private content is accessed and no Telegram account login is involved.
2. Open submission. Anyone can submit a channel, group or bot through /{locale}/submit or /{locale}/bots/submit. A submission is stored with status `pending`, deduplicated against pending and approved entries by Telegram username or link, and becomes publicly visible only after an administrator approves it. Rejected entries may be resubmitted.
3. Corrections after publication. Visitors can report any listing (wrong category, dead link, spam, illegal content) from the listing page; channel owners can claim their listing to take over its data. Reports and claims are reviewed by a human when they arrive — there is no scheduled re-audit of the whole catalogue.

Titles and descriptions are reproduced as the resource published them, in the language its author wrote them. TelegramRadar does not translate or rewrite listing text.

## How to read the signals shown on a listing

- Rankings (/{locale}/top): ordered strictly by page views recorded on telegramradar.com. They measure interest on this site, not popularity on Telegram, and they are not affected by payment.
- Featured / VIP: a placement slot, not a quality award. Active paid promotions occupy it first; the remaining slots are rotated automatically among widely viewed imported listings. Featured status does not change ranking order.
- Member count: the figure published on the resource's own public Telegram page at the moment it was imported or last refreshed. It is not independently audited and may be stale.
- Star rating: the rating widget exists and accepts anonymous and authenticated votes, but it has received almost no votes so far, so the averages rendered on listing pages are not a meaningful sample. Do not use them as evidence of quality.
- Verification badge: records only that an entry was matched against its public Telegram page. It is not an editorial endorsement, a safety review or a legitimacy check.

URL Structure: All pages use a locale prefix. For example, the English explore page is at /en/explore, the Spanish version at /es/explore, the French at /fr/explore, etc. Supported locale prefixes: /en/, /es/, /fr/, /de/, /it/, /pt/.

Curated landing pages, one per category, each with a ranked list of channels including member counts, descriptions, and direct Telegram links.

Coverage is very uneven and an agent should not assume every category is deep: technology, crypto, deals, news and betting hold most of the channel catalogue, while categories such as education, movies & series, files & downloads, dating and humour hold a few dozen listings or fewer.

Note that listing text is never translated: the same channel page serves the same author-written description in every locale, and only the interface around it changes.

## Data and Features

TelegramRadar stores the following data for each listing:

Channels and Groups: title, description, Telegram username and link, channel type (channel / group / supergroup), access type, member count, content language, country, category, average rating and rating count, view count, verification flag, featured flag, NSFW flag, tags, and related items.

Bots: bot name, Telegram username, description, category, average rating and rating count, view count, featured flag, and tags.

Blog Posts: title, excerpt, full HTML content, author, language, publish date, reading time estimate, featured image, tags, and SEO metadata.

Rankings: recalculated daily from view counts recorded on telegramradar.com and exposed at /{locale}/top.

Categories (14 in total): the categories holding the bulk of the channel catalogue are technology, crypto, deals, news and betting, followed by sports, music and gaming; education-courses, movies-series, files-downloads, dating-friendship, humor-memes and adults-18 hold small numbers. Every category, adults-18 included, has a public landing page at /{locale}/best/{category}. Roughly one channel in five, and almost the entire bot catalogue, carries no category at all. Each category has localised display names in all 6 UI languages.

Content Languages: listings are published in 12 content languages. Ordered by volume, the most represented are English, Russian, Turkish, Arabic, Persian, Italian, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Hindi and Dutch.

- Sitemap index with paginated sitemaps for channels, bots, blog posts, and category pages
- Hreflang tags on multilingual pages; listing pages are indexed in a single canonical locale because their content is not translated
- Rankings recalculated daily at 3:00 AM UTC via automated cron job
